Garden and Cosmos: The Royal Paintings of Jodhpur

Tonight we went to see Garden and Cosmos: The Royal Paintings of Jodhpur at the British Museum. It's an absolutely fascinating exhibition... I was completely enchanted with every single one of the 56 incredibly detailed, lush and colourful paintings, which date back to the 17th century.

None of these paintings have been shown in Europe before.  If you get the chance, you should take the time to go and see them.

My Dad just told me he went to see this too and thought it was beautiful. I'm a bit gutted as I was hoping to see this when I come over, but it finishes in September. Thats what you get for living in the cultural hotbed that I do. Thabks for putting the pics up.... once again I live vicariously!

Hi. Don't know when you are coming to London, but good news is that the exhibition has been extended at the BM until October 11. (It opens end October in Sydney at Gallery of New South Wales and then on to Delhi).

Thankyou anon! I live in Sydney at the moment so I'm excited to see it here, there's been no advertising for it though.
