TN_29_HOMAGE

Yesterday, I treated myself to a lovely new pair of Tracey Neuls summer brogues from her TN_29_HOMAGE collection.

Every girl needs a new pair of shoes for a special occasion, and my next (very special) one is on 7 July!

Love Pillow

Oh to be able to get my hands on the Alexander Girard Love Pillow available as part of a new collection available at Urban Outfitters, in the USA only... sigh.

Polo Chair

I'm working on the reason why I need to buy this polypropylene Polo Chair, designed by Robin Day in 1972.

Available from Loft.

Black Fluted Mega

One night a few weeks ago we had supper at Cha Cha Moon. We both agreed that it would be nice to enjoy green tea at home and, to my surprise, P suggested that we might need some appropriate teacups... it was a surprise because we have many types of cup and usually P is sensible when it comes to needing more stuff... we don't need any more stuff.

Today, I passed by Postcard Teas. They have an amazing selection of tea varieties, which are all beautifully packaged, as well as some beautiful Japanese tea ware.  But the teacups which grabbed my attention were these Black Fluted Mega from Royal Copenhagen... hand painted and perfect.

I now have a new obsession!

Louis Poulsen Moser Pendant Light

I'm a little bit in love with the matte white opal glass Louis Poulsen Moser Pendant Light.

Raven Row

Yesterday we decided to visit Raven Row, a new non-profit contemporary art exhibition centre in Spitalfields. I think that 6a Architects have done a wonderful job on renovating these eighteenth century domestic rooms, they have also included two contemporary gallery spaces on the ground floor.

Unfortunately I didn't take in too much of the current exhibition... I was far too busy admiring the space.

St John

A perfect start to the weekend... welsh rarebit and a glass of beer with P at St John. One of our most favourite places in London.

Hope yours was equally delicious.

Sleeps with Magnets

P recently finished three small paintings. I took advantage when I saw them... I tried to photograph Sleeps with Magnets very close up and the result is this great set of colourful landscapes...

No matter how many dots P paints, I'm always amazed by the results.

Nakashima Straight Chair

Another beautiful chair.

The Straight chair by George Nakashima, originally designed for his studio and later manufactured by Knoll, between 1946 and 1954, reintroduced in 2008.

I'd love to have been able to see The Making of an Object at at The Design Center at Philadelphia University.  Sadly, too far away.
