Weekend

Yesterday we enjoyed mojito's in the sunshine at the Bermondsey Street Festival and I was excited to find out that we'll be getting our very own Saturday morning Farmers Market from 7 November at Bermondsey Square.

Today, on our way to Columbia Road, we popped in to SCP to see the fabulous KIOSK pop-up shop, here as part of the London Design Festival.

We came away with cheerful Sunflowers and a few humble, straightforward and beautiful KIOSK objects.

Plümo

Autumn is getting closer and blankets have come out for bed time. My Vogue arrived in the post today, very late because of postal strikes. With it was a new season mini catalogue for Plümo .  I was very drawn to the idea of this crochet stool...

Present

It's always a good day when I find somewhere new serving good coffee.  Today was one of those days.

Recently opened, Present is a fine looking menswear store on Shoreditch High Street. Serving Square Mile Coffee, the flat white was flawless.

Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook

I recently picked up a new copy of the Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook for £4... a rather good price for this very attractive book.

This afternoon I tried the Banana Loaf recipe. Perfect.

I have huge a soft spot for this bakery... we chose to have their Red Velvet cake as our wedding cake. It went down a storm with our guests and the book has the recipe.

Weekend

Busy, busy, busy time at work. My weekend feels like it was so long ago and the next one feels too far away... here are some bits of last weekend to remind me what they're all about!

Fish and chip supper at The Laughing Halibut on Strutton Ground.

Apples which smelt of sweet strawberries.

The Hayward Gallery for Walking in My Mind. Very happy to see Yoshitomo Nara's My Drawing Room.

Lunch at Melrose and Morgan.

A nice walk through Queen Mary's Garden.

More Sweet Treats

Not all of my sweet treats this weekend were edible. Early Friday evening browsing these beautiful book covers, all of them found at one of London's finest second hand bookshops. Pay a visit to Oxfam at 34 Strutton Ground.

Sweet Treats

It's been a weekend of sweet treats...

Pistachio marshmallow and salted caramel macaroons from Ladurée at the Burlington Arcade.

A bite or two of P's baked cheesecake at Melrose and Morgan.

Picked but not mixed... a box of Percy pigs from the new Marks and Spencer Pick & Mix selection.  It was the box I couldn't resist.

Not all eaten at once you'll be glad to know!
