I love this photo from The Selby... made me think of my my girls, Mab and Fanny.
Funny that the owner of these two mischief makers is also called Fanny!

Maybe I spoke too soon...?
It's possible that I spoke too soon, having now seen the new eco-conscious Orla Kiely Green Stem handbag...

Alex Monroe Mushroom Ring
One of my Christmas presents from P is this very cute mushroom ring by Alex Monroe, which is a perfect match for my love of toadstools...
And, many a compliment I have received while wearing it!

Anniversary
To celebrate our first year of marriage, we gave each this gorgeous George Nelson Night Clock.
We also received this box of gifts from friends, Makiko and Miho, when we met them for a wonderful traditional Japanese meal in Tokyo at Shun... a box containing four gifts, Japanese tea, chopstick rests, a mini frame purse and sweets, each wrapped in cute Japanese cloths.

Honeymoon... Japan #1
After our stay in Hong Kong we travelled to Japan. We were there for two weeks and had an absolutely fantastic time. There is so much about Japan which appeals to me and so many things to remember, my head is still in a spin!
This was our second visit, and we chose to stay in the same hotels as when we were there in 2005, Villa Fontaine in Shiodome and the Westin Miyako in Kyoto.

This time we also spent one night at a Ryokan in Gora, Hakone. The Tokinoyu Setsugekka ryokan is also an Onsen and each room has it's own private balcony bath.
During our visit, there were some amazing things to see...
