Orla Kiely charity shopping tote

Tesco is not my supermarket of choice, so it was possible that the recently issued a charity shopping tote designed for them by Orla Kiely would have passed me by if it weren't for one of my sisters-in-law. Thank you Rachael!

This is the first design in a range which will follow in 2011. They're limited and cost £4.00, with 50p being split between two charities (children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent and Orla’s personal charity which funds bursaries for textile students at the Royal College of Art).

Milo

Our boy is here.

Milo Gilsenan John Roseman arrived by emergency caesarean section on Saturday 14 August at 2211 hrs, weighing in at just 2.46 kilos he's a tiny little thing.

Our rascal was in some distress so I didn't make it in to labour. The last two hours before he popped into the world are a bit of a blur and, as any new parent will tell you, the days since have been full of feeds, nappies, sleep (for Milo mostly) and lots of staring in complete amazement at what P and I have made.

Say hello...

Orla Kiely at Konditor & Cook

On Friday afternoon I took a leisurely stroll to Borough Market, which is not complete without a purchase or two from Konditor and Cook, where I saw these Magic Cakes designed by Orla Kiely as part of their Cakes by Creatives charity.

A sweet treat.

Excitement is mounting

It was love at first sight... browsing through the new February issue of Living etc. I came accross this beauty on page 23...

I've yet to see anything more of the Spring/Summer 09 collection by Orla Kiely, but if this is anythig to go by I think we're in for a goodun!

More Orla

I've yet to see this bag for real, but have been waiting patiently since I browsed through the A/W08 catalogue some weeks back at the Covent Garden Orla Kiely store...

Sunday...

Columbia Road for sunflowers, a cute variety known as Teddy Bear.

As usual, a peek in to Ryantown...

Home for tea and toast with marmite and a browse through the October issue of Vogue, which has articles on...

Mr Rob and Ryantown...

Orla Kiely, which mentions a range of spectacles for 2009. As an Orla fan who wears glasses this is especially exciting news!

Cath Kidston, and a peek in to her lovely new London home...

Orla Kiely at Heal's

An exciting collection of furniture and homewares, designed by Orla Kiely, is being launched at Heal's.

Top of my list is the grey Scribble Stem Print Bedlinen...

And, I'd be more than happy to accommodate this...

Or this...

Or... well, I'll leave it there because I could go on forever.

Orla Kiely

While at Tate Modern on Wednesday, I couldn't resists treating myself to this new fold up shopping bag by Orla Kiely... I'm a complete sucker for her bags.

My collection of these handy little carriers is growing... this one is really lovely quality.

Is it me, or does this design have a touch of the Lotta Jansdotter about it...?

Orla Kiely

It's exciting to see that the new Orla Kiely website is up and running... ooh, I can't wait to get my hands on her new stationery range.

I'm a HUGE fan of her handbags, and will post on my collection soon... it dates back to (I think) 1997! I'm currently drooling over the multi stem tote, but am torn as I know the very last thing I need is another handbag...

How's that chair for eye candy?
