Tea and Crafting

Have just spent a thoroughly enjoyable evening, learning how to crochet granny squares in a two hour class taught by Jane of Tea and Crafting.

Am very pleased with my first square... now, how long will it take me to crochet a whole blanket, I wonder?

oh wow. i started to teach myself crochet a week or so ago - i can sort of do it now. i aspire to making one of those squares. my little bit that i finished looked like a tiny sock (in shape), it totally wasn't supposed to. i think i need help.

Thanks Aga!

Nath, shame you're not in London... the class was just £20 and I made the square in that time. Have been playing around with some cotton which I have but my dream is a double bed sized cashmere crochet blanket all in the same colour grey...

Hi

Well I was really suprised when I found this on the internet today! It was lovely to read and your square did look very good!
I'm so pleased you enjoyed and go on crochet your dream blanket I am crocheting one right now not 100% cashmere but using a 50% cashmere blend . . . it's taking a while but even if takes till next year I'll still be pleased with it because I actually finished it!! Good luck with the crocheting!

Jane, how funny that you found read me... am curious how you did. I have been working in a single colour on one square... it's about 12x12" now, it's been enjoyable practice!!
