Just returned from 10 days in Istanbul. It was a long time to be away from home, working lots and lots of hours. The plus side of the trip was getting to see Molly, Julie, Makiko, Rita, Hilda and Arden who all work in other parts of the world.
I did manage one day of sight seeing and a little shopping...

This is one of the places in the world that I really want to go to, what was it like? Was it as beautiful and chaotic as I imagine? I hope you had an amazing time.
welcome back, blogger missed you ! I remember picking pomegranates from the tree in turkey - one of my favourite memories
Oh, I live Istanbul. I did go to Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar too but sadly missed Hagia Sophia, oh well, surely have to go back!
The fruit on every single street corner is so tempting.
I've been to Istanbul three times now and each time was for work. It looks like a place well worth exploring, but for some reason it's not near the top of my wish list. Everyone I know who has been says it is a really great place... the pomegranate juice was delicious!!
The slippers with the bobbles... look like really colourful mice!
glorious. especially love the light fitting.
