Glass

I love the simple shape of this glass Tonale carafe designed by David Chipperfield.
A steal at £16.00!

Geffrye Museum

After our visit to the V&A Museum of Childhood, we took a trip to one of my favourite London museums, The Geffrye. The museum is set in 18th century almshouses and displays English style sitting rooms from 1600 through to the present day.

The current special exhibition is Ethelburga Tower: At home in a high-rise.  The exhibition is a collection of photographs of the same room in each apartment in the building where the photographer, Mark Cowper, has lived for the past 20 years. Cowper asked his neighbours if he could photograph their living room, just as he found them when he knocked on their door, to capture the differences in light throughout the building... it has ended up being a fascinating record of the way the residents all live differently in the same space.

Museum of Childhood

Deerylou and I recently went to see the Snozzcumbers and Frobscottle exhibition at the V&A Museum of Childhood. It's an exhibition celebrating the wonderful union between the storyteller Roald Dahl and illustrator Quentin Blake.

Everyone has their favourite Roald Dahl book... mine is James and the Giant Peach. What's yours?

Finland Formula

Today I used the last of this amazing Finland Formula 'Fin Rose' hand cream from Japan.

No idea how I can get any more, which is such a shame as it's the nicest hand cream I have ever used!

Curious Sign

This curious sign has appeared in one of the small parks I walk through every day...

Moleskine

I realise this is hardly original, but I'm a huge fan of Moleskine diaries and notebooks.  I saw the red and blue cahier notebooks for the first time last week...

Love their old fashioned understated style.

The loveliest shoes I never managed to find.  On sale, but not in my size.

C'est la vie.

Birthday Boys

Today is St George's Day and also is my lovely husband, P, and my Dad's birthdays.

Lots of love to my favourite boys! xx

Josef Albers

Today, P and I took a trip to Waddington Galleries on Cork Street, to look at the beautiful collection of Josef Albers paintings which they are currently showing.  We saw them last week too.   The exhibition runs until 2 May.  If you have chance to visit, I would highly recommend it.

The New Pollution

Work in progress at P's studio. A new painting called The New Pollution.

I love it.  The more he works on it, the better it's going to get.

Bathroom

We've given the bathroom a lick of paint, a new metal Aspudden cabinet from Ikea and an old mirror from Ooh-La-La.

It's made a world of difference, and the wait for renovations will be much more bearable!
